Building Confidence through Martial Arts

I know some of you have been expecting to see more practical exercises, and they will come, but there's more to Martial Arts than just the practical. It's about what it provides for the individual.

Is it about concentration, focus, confidence, discipline or is it purely for self-defence? Sometimes it's not a choice, sometimes it finds you, like it did for me and I think it's the same for kids.

Since the beginning of the year I have been inanduted with enquiries from parents who want their children training in the MA. Some of these parents are struggling to get them into Martial Art clubs, because they're on the spectrum and the club can't facilitate one on one. Others are struggling because their children have anger issues and are unable to self-regulate, causing additional problems at home and school.

If this is you, contact me via the website www.theloactivetherapy.com

I work one on one and in very small groups, but that also depends on the children. Martial Arts is the best way to improve their confidence, self-esteem and of course learn new skills that can provide them with the confidence to take on any challenge.'
